1940: A one mile spur trail completed to the lookout.
May 1940: "Provides coverage of inaccessible areas. (Plans, Guard Placement, Siskiyou National Forest)
May 9, 1940: "Three new fire lookouts will serve the Siskiyou national forest in the Coos-Curry county area this year. Supervisor Ed Cliff reported during a brief visit in Marshfield Wednesday.
One lookout will be on Silver peak in the Agness district of Curry county." (The Coos Bay Times)
1941: A L-4 lookout house constructed.
1941: The lookout staffed 100 days and reported to the Agness Ranger Station.
October 12, 1962: The heavy winds of the Columbus Day Storm caused damage to the lookout house.
2002: Was destroyed in the Biscuit Fire.
