June 1934: " The CCC camp at Dog Lake listed one of the projects for the 1934 season was to build a lookout at Fitzwater Point." (Six Twenty-Six)
1948: The 10x10 lookout house was rebuilt on this site after being moved from Coleman Point. The house rested on a rock foundation. The total cost of the structure was $1,232.69. The toilet was a wood structure measuring 7x7.
1956: The Air marking number for this station, F-21.
July 18, 1960: " James Jacobsgaard is a first season lookout from Holland, Michigan." (Herald and News)
1968: A letter from the Fremont National Forest to the Regional Office dated May 13th: “Fitzwater Point has been burned.”
