July 20, 1932: "Nine new lookout houses are to be built at an estimate cost of $5,300. [One of] these lookouts will be built at Dog Prairie, located five miles west of Mt. Bailey in the Diamond lake district. Pasture fences are to built at Dog Prairie." (Roseburg News-Review)
