CLEAR LAKE TREE
5S-9E-7
September 25, 1992: "Located on a bench on the ridge SE of the top of Clear Lake Butte and Clear Lake Lookout. There is a good view of the Warm Springs Indian Reservation, Mt. Jefferson, Olallie, and the Pinhead Buttes. This site consists of one 25 meter tall Western Hemlock tree. The tree is leaning at 13 degrees; it is being pushed over by a large windthrown Douglas fir tree that has blown down and is lying next to it. The lookout tree has limb rungs nailed onto it with machine made nails." (Cultural Resource Site Report)
