June 29, 1958: "A man has been appointed to Canyon Peak, but has not been sent to his position." (Medford Mail Tribune)
July 14, 1958: "Chod Hoover, Jim and Pat London and Danny and Mrs. Hal Mohr of Grants Pass were on a two day camping trip to Baby Foot lake and Onion camp by horseback. The party stopped ar Canyon peak lookout where Mrs. Mohr's husband is stationed for the summer." (Medford Mail Tribune)

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1943 (JCS) STATION IS THE FOREST SERVICE LOOKOUT ON CANYON PEAK WHICH IS LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 12 MILES SW OF SELMA AND 9 MILES NW OF CAVE JUNCTION. STATION IS NOT MARKED AND WAS NOT VISITED BY THIS PARTY.
