GOODRICH LAKE
Baker County - U.S. Forest Service / Baker City Co-op
July 2, 1942: "For the first time, the city will have telephonic communication with the Goodrich lake water supply site, a joint forest service and city project promises.
The telephone line was begun Tuesday and is expected to be completed in about 10 days, reports Ranger R.C. Burgess. It starts near the Ebell farm, cooperates with several ranchers and extends about five miles to the lake.
The city will keep a man at the lake and the forest service will be served by him in the capacity as a cooperative lookout." (The Record-Courier)
