1927: Due to the high hazard fire weather an intermediate lookout was put in place. This site is near a Shevlin-Hixon logging camp.
August 12, 1929: An intermediate lookout was stationed.
August 9, 1930: An emergency lookout was stationed.
1940: The lookout was staffed by the Walker Range Patrol for 110 days. The reporting station was at LaPine and linked by telephone.
A tree crow's nest with a camp. In 2006 the tree had already decayed to almost nothing, a few boards and the usual tin cans.
