June 17, 1920: “J.W. Ferguson has had a crew busy running a telephone line from Molalla to the Ranger cabin at North Fork Station.” (The Molalla Pioneer)

1957: "A 140 foot tower was erected at North Fork Station at a cost of $3838.02, this does not include a safety rail for climbing the tower, landing platform at top of the tower, these will be installed during 1958." (Clackamas-Marion District Annual Report)
1958: "The platforms and railings have been completed on the 140 foot steel tower at the North Fork headquarters. However, instead of installing a safety rail on the ladder of this tower, an electric manlift has been installed at a cost of $616.14. The components of this lift were purchased separately, and it was designed, built, and installed by the North Fork crew." (Clackamas-Marion District Annual Report)
April 6, 1959: "Near Molalla a 145-foot steel tower has been erected for the Clackamas-Marion Forest Fire Patrol which has no stairway leading to the top. Instead an electric lift carries lookouts up and down." (The Oregonian)
November 10, 1961: "Progress has caught up with forest fire lookouts, which once were crude wooden, walk-up affairs. Now, in addition to running water, electric stoves and other conveniences, a new tower near Molalla, Ore., features and electric elevator. The 145-foot steel tower, maintained by a fire patrol association of forest landowners, overlooks tree farm lands of Crown Zellerbach Corp." (Mt Vernon Register-News - Illinois)
