1966: No first reports were made from this station.
1967: Considerable work was required to repair the vandalism from the previous winter season.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1972 (LDF) THE STATION IS ABOUT 10 MILES WEST OF SHERIDAN, 3-1/2 MILES NORTH OF GRAND RONDE AND ON WHAT IS KNOWN AS SPIRIT MOUNTAIN. THE POINT INTERSECTED IS THE CENTER OF THE TOP OF AN OREGON STATE FORESTRY LOOKOUT HOUSE ABOUT 30 FEET HIGH.
TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE POST OFFICE IN GRAND RONDE, GO NORTH ON PAVED ROAD FOR 1.4 MILES TO THE JUNCTION OF STATE HIGHWAY 22 AND AGENCY CR. RD. CONTINUE NORTH ON AGENCY CR. RD FOR 1.0 MILE TO A GRAVELED ROAD ON THE RIGHT, CONTINUE NORTH FOR 0.35 MILE TO A GRAVELED SIDE ROAD ON THE RIGHT AND A RAIL GATE. TURN RIGHT AND PASS THROUGH THE GATE AND GO EASTERLY ON A DIRT ROAD FOR 1.1 MILES TO A FORK, KEEP THE LEFT FORK AND GO SOUTHERLY UPHILL FOR 0.85 MILE TO FORK. KEEP THE RIGHT FORK LEAVING THE MAIN ROAD FOR 0.25 MILE TO FORK, KEEP THE RIGHT FORK, SOUTHERLY, FOR 0.9 MILE TO FORK. KEEP THE RIGHT FORK AND CONTINUE SOUTHERLY UPHILL FOR 0.25 MILE TO TOP OF SPIRIT MOUNTAIN AND THE STATION.
